West Palm Beach, Fla. - The Goodman Company, which is developing upscale retail and commercial facilities at Wiregrass Ranch in Pasco County, will join Pulte Home Corp. in constructing the extension of State Road 56 east for approximately 3.2 miles. The project is expected to cost $15 million.

John W. Dowd, III, senior vice president of development of The Goodman Company, said timing of the construction project is critical, as a new high school and a middle school campus that is in the final planning stages will be served by the road.

Dowd said construction is scheduled to start in September.
