Wiregrass Ranch is a 5,022 acre planned, mixed-use development. The property is located at the northeast corner of State Road 56 and County Road 581 also known as Bruce B. Downs Blvd. State Road 56 is a new highway that opened in December of 2001. This important highway interchanges with Interstate 75 approximately two miles to the west of the site and will extend through Wiregrass Ranch to Morris Bridge Road to the east.

The area that surrounds Wiregrass Ranch is commonly referred to as "New Tampa" which is one of the fastest growing residential areas in the state of Florida with over 49,000 new residential units planned and approved. When fully developed, the ranch itself will be home to nearly 16,000 residences and over 2 million square feet of quality commercial projects.

The Goodman Company is partnering with Forest City, out of Cleveland, Ohio to develop The Shops at Wiregrass, a 750,000 sq. ft. lifestyle center, that will be anchored by JC Penney, Dillards, Macy's and many other mall-type tenants.

In addition to the retail development, Wiregrass Ranch will include a medical center, schools (elementary through high school), a national tennis center, golf courses, municipal offices and over 16,000 residential units.
